The Vanair Vixen is unique in that is does not use a standard propeller drive system, but uses specially designed fans for lift and propulsion. This makes for a very low noise signature suited for noise sensitive areas.
Designed to be tough and handle the worst of environmental extremes, the Vanair Vixen offers unparalleled performance and economy of operation in the medium utility Hovercraft field. Powered by a 275 horsepower Cummins Diesel engine, the Vanair Vixen provides excellent payload capability at low fuel consumption and operating costs. The Vanair Vixen comes equipped to go to work, with required navigation lights, marine VHF radio, GPS, cabin heating and ventilation as standard equipment.
Built primarily of marine grade aluminum, the Vanair Vixen will provide many years of trouble-free passenger and freight-hauling service in demanding commercial applications.
